Wirehaired Pointing Griffon Puppies

This was the first litter of Griffons that we bred.  The sire was Philippe Roca’s dog CH Bec Duchasseur and the dam was our girl Maggie, CH Wet Acres Happy Camper JH.

This litter was a repeat breeding of the B litter.  The father was our dog CH Wet Acres Moonshine JH and the dam was Maggie, CH Wet Acres Happy Camper JH.  This was Maggie’s last litter.  This litter like the B litter has already done great things.  Our second champion came from this litter, CH Bear Hug Cee Barry Rockbridge JH.  He has also taken Group 1 placement in the Sporting Group. 

This litter was a breeding between “Sweet Pea”, CH Bear Hug Bring It On JH NA NAJ and AM/CAN CH Duchasseur Bayou FD.  This litter had 6 puppies, 3 boys and 3 girls.

This was the first breeding between our dog Rugby, CH Wet Acres Moonshine JH and our girl Maggie, CH Wet Acres Happy Camper JH.  From this litter we kept Sweet Pea, CH Bear Hug Bring It On JH NA NAJ.

We try to achieve several things through our breeding program.   First of all, we want to produce a well adjusted Griffon that fits well into its family.  We also want this puppy to look like a griffon.  Another goal of ours is that the pup will have the ability to compete in the conformation ring, hunt, hunt test, do agility and obedience.  We strive to breed an all around dog, that you can take from the field into the show ring and back.

 

We spend a lot of time socializing our puppies.  They are introduced to all kinds of stimulation before they leave.  They will have been handled and loved on extensively.  There will always be children around them.  The puppies will have been taken out into the field, seen birds and introduced to water before they leave our home.  We also start isolating each puppy before they leave.  And by the time they do leave, they are sleeping alone in their own kennel.

E litter— Spring/Summer 2010

Pearl has been bred to Bernie, CH Bear Hug Charming Prince Bernhard.  If we were successful, the pups should be born at the end of March, 2010.  We are very excited by this litter and the potential it will have.

F litter— Spring/Summer 2010

Currently we are waiting for Sweet Pea to come into heat.  She will be bred to Ucky du Domaine du Huguera.  Ucky lives in France.  He is a very nice dog with multiple Conformation and Field titles.  This breeding has and is taking a lot of coordination and effort.  We are also very excited by the potential these puppies have for the future.
